You can update actions in Pendulum from either the Actions Dashboard or the relevant school page.

The Actions Dashboard is useful when reviewing actions across multiple schools. The school page is useful when you are already working with a particular school and want to view or update its actions directly.

Updating actions from the Actions Dashboard

Open the Actions Dashboard

  1. Hover over Pendulum on the main toolbar.
  2. Click Actions.

The dashboard brings your Pendulum actions together in one place, including standalone actions and actions linked to visits.

The actions shown will depend on your Pendulum permissions and the filters currently applied.

Find your action

Use the filters beneath the Actions heading to narrow down the list.

You can also:

  • Click Show beneath the Overdue, Key or Incomplete summary cards.
  • Use the drop-down menu above the actions list to refine the results.
  • Use the search bar to search by school, assignee or words from the action title.

Can’t find an action? Check the Due Date filter. You may be viewing a specific date range; change this to 'All' if you are unsure.

Update an action

Find the action in the list, then click either:

  • the action title, or
  • the pencil icon on the right-hand side.

Update the relevant information, and if appropriate, tick Mark as complete, then click Save.

Review overdue actions

Click Show beneath the Overdue summary card to view actions that have passed their due date.

Review each action and either:

  • mark it as complete, or
  • update the due date if the action is still outstanding.

Updating actions from the school page

You can also view and update actions directly from an individual school’s dashboard.

  1. Click Schools on the main Nexus toolbar.
  2. Find and select the relevant school.
  3. Open the Actions tab on the school dashboard.

The Actions tab displays the actions associated with that school. Find the action you want to update, then open it using the action title or the available edit option.

Make the required changes, or tick Mark as complete (if appropriate) then click Save.

Keeping actions up to date helps you and your colleagues see what has been completed and what still needs attention.
